Members of the public as well as the staff underwent medical check-ups and had the chance to attend a variety of awareness workshops while anti-smoking posters and leaflets were distributed to raise awareness about the importance of quitting smoking.
Also the DNRD hosted Abdullah Al Kamali from the Islamic Affairs and charitable activities department in Dubai to brief customers and employees about the ill-effects of smoking not only on individuals, but on the whole society.
This initiative was organized in collaboration with the Health Authority and a number of educational institutions and religious centers in Dubai.
Major General Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, DNRD Director-General, stressed on the importance of organizing such campaigns in line with DNRD's social responsibility towards its employees and customers.
DNRD launches 'Youth without Smoking' campaign
Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, launched an anti-smoking campaign titled 'Youth without Smoking' including an internal awareness scheme and a photo exhibition at the main headquarters on June 1st and 2nd.
