The Business and Financial Forum ends with emphasis on improving development of banking & financial sectors

"The Business and Financial Forum", held by Confex International SAL and Magnum Events & Exhibitions (MEEM) at Gulf Hotel, ended yesterday with participants emphasizing the need to improve the development of the banking and financial sectors, as investments in various sectors are growing.
Speakers in this session were H.E. Mohsin Khamis Al balushi, advisor to the ministry of commerce and industry of Oman; Dr. Jamil Jaroudi, CEO of ELAF bank; Mr. Gebrayel Basbous, Bahrain Country manager of Credit Holdings; Mr. Issa Saadaeh, research and development manager of Global Venture Capital Holdings.
The second session titled "Arab Telecom Companies - Towards Regional Governance and Global Expansion", dealt with Arab telecom companies positioning in the international marketplace, future expectations and next generation technologies.
Panelists in this session were Mr. Ross Cormack from Nawras; Mr. Abdulhameed Al Sunaid, CEO of i2; Mr. Jamal Ramadan, MENA regional manager of MTN Group; Mr. Raghu Venkataraman, executive vice president, corporate strategy and strategic marketing DU.
The third session titled "Legal Reforms in the Economical and Financial Fields and their Effects on the Banking and Investment Sectors", held a legal workshop to improve the development of the banking and financial sectors, as investments in various services are growing.
Speakers in this last session of the forum were Ms. Lilia Sabbagh, Partner of Badri and Salim El Meouchi Law Firm; Mr. Qays H. Zu'bi, managing partner of Qays H. Zu'bi Attorneys and legal consultants; Dr. Abdelgadir Warsama Ghalib, legal advisor; Mr. Osama Mohammed Muein, GM of Global Investment House.
Approximately 200 participants attended the sessions of the two-day forum from the public and private sectors.
The forum addressed at its first day under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hasan Fakhro, the minister of Industry & Commerce in Bahrain, a number of vital topics, integral to business and financial development: "kingdom of Bahrain: an economical rise and investment opportunities", Disposition of Arab markets to adapt to construction growth", "Leading Arab investments: success stories and new horizons."
