HE Eng Hamad Buamim, Director General of the Chamber, also attended the event.

Conducted by Glenn Price of RogenSi Middle East, the lunch-time keynote workshop examined some of the tips, tools and strategies that the staff could use to feel more resourceful on a day when the going gets tough.

Using sleek humour as a strong tool in getting his message of leadership, growth and change management across, Glenn got the staff members contributing in the interactive session as he asked them to approach things with an open mind.

Said Azzah Al Sharhan, Executive Director, Human Resources:

"The Chamber is reintroducing the monthly lunch and with it the lunchtime keynote workshop which will host different motivational speakers talking on a wide variety of human resources subjects from time to time," she said adding, "The need for us now is to open our minds and to look at the horizons to see what's happening outside and to learn and incorporate the same in our working at the Chamber. These lunchtime meetings will provide all the staff members the opportunity to meet face to face and to work better as a team in the coming days."

Added Al Sharhan, "This lunchtime workshop experience has really been very good and we look forward to many more in the future. In today's high stress working atmosphere it's important to take a break from the routine, get refreshed and inspired in order to return to work with a fresh perspective. I hope this experiment will go in line with the Chamber's new strategy that is looking at serving all its stakeholders in a better way."

Citing the remarkable growth of Dubai, Glenn pointed out that success breeds expectations and in order for the Chamber to be in the lead, its staff members will have to target their goal by adopting a 'hands on' approach be creative in order to inspire exceptional business results.
