- PRESS RELEASE
Emaar Misr for Development S.A.E, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Emaar Properties, hosted a delegation of Urban Land Institute (ULI), the California-based global real estate forum that represents the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines.
The delegation, led by Mr Bruce Ludwig, Governor and Trustee, ULI, toured the Emaar Misr Sales Centre where they were briefed on the Uptown Cairo and Marassi developments. Mr Haitham Fekry, Manager - Development, Emaar Misr for Development S.A.E, joined other senior management team of Emaar Misr to welcome the team, who also toured the Marassi Mood Room in the Sales Centre and inspected models of villas and apartments.
The Emaar Misr team presented an overview of Emaar Properties and its Vision 2010 to become one of the most valuable companies in the world through geographic expansion and business segmentation. The delegation was given a detailed presentation on Emaar's global growth plans, its already significant presence in 36 markets and the company's pioneering approach in developing world-class master-planned communities.
Mr Muhtadi added: "The ULI delegation was briefed on the development approach of Emaar in Egypt, and how our projects add value to the economy, apart from Emaar's global growth perspective of being an integrated lifestyle provider. The valuable suggestions by ULI will complement our initiatives in developing world-class projects in Egypt."
Mr Ludwig said: "The Emaar projects demonstrated the best practices we urge all ULI members to follow. Emaar has taken a challenging site with topographic issues and used good planning to develop a true neighborhood with housing, jobs, recreation and beautiful vistas overlooking Cairo. The quality of design and construction we witnessed in the buildings is impressive and equal to the quality one would expect in fine neighborhoods in America. Emaar is to be congratulated for their success in the Gulf and now in Cairo."
The delegation was in Egypt on a country tour to gain an overview of the real estate developments that could be of interest to ULI Governors.
