The finding was the result of a recent survey conducted at the end of May 2008.
To enhance its role as a leading government department that attracts skilled national talents, DNRD has appointed over 448 employees in 2006, and 821 employees in 2007.
The survey also shows an increasing interest among local women to work at DNRD, reaching 1,039 employees and representing 18% of the total female working force at all government departments in Dubai.
This significant percentage is due to the facilities offered to local women by DNRD, helping them lead a balanced life between work and home.
Effectively, a permanent Women's Committee has been set up, which is assigned to hold cultural and social activities, establish a kindergarten and set up a gymnasium with a specialized trainer, in addition to providing the facilities stipulated by the new Human Resources Law of Dubai Government.
Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director of DNRD, said, 'In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DNRD realizes the importance of the role of young leaders in decision making, which encourages us to offer supervisory positions for the second generation. We have also established a Research and Initiative Department to develop statistics that will help enhancing employees' potentials and skills.'
94% Emiratization attained at DNRD
Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) has revealed its latest findings with regard to its Emiratization drive, which has reached 94% of its 3,293 employees.
