Al Masaood Bergum recognised for its commitment to health and safety in Qatar

Al Masaood Bergum (AMB), the leading supplier of prefabricated steel and timber frame buildings in the Middle East, has been recognised for its contribution to the 30 million man-hours without Lost Time Incident (LTI) on a major 5,500 worker accommodation project in Qatar.
Its Qatar Operations, headquartered in Doha, has a facility of over 15,000m2 and is being constantly expanded and enhanced.
AMB has been consistently recognised for its commitment and dedication to health and safety and has also been recently presented with the Fluor Safety Cross - Safety Excellence Award.
"AMB is extremely proud of its excellent health and safety track record, which is clearly demonstrated by these awards," commented Clinton Mc Namara, Country Manager Qatar, AMB. "We believe that effective health and safety policies are essential in achieving the success which our company has seen over the years. In the past year, AMB was also named runners-up at the highly competitive 2007 Construction Week Awards within the Health and Safety category.
AMB has been carving itself a niche in prefabricated construction and turnover has increased from Dhs45m in 1999 to Dhs660m in 2007.
With staff numbers currently totalling 3,639, up from 770 staff in 2004, the company employs an internationally diverse workforce from countries including the UAE, GCC, UK, India, Pakistan, Nepal, South Africa, Australia and Malaysia.
