QBWA is a partnership comprising QCCI, the Qatari Business Women Forum (QBWF) and Qatar Shell that aims to identify and pay tribute to business and professional Qatari women who contribute to Qatar's society and economy through their significant professional or entrepreneurial achievements.

The award will focus on women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and managerial qualities in their fields.

The purpose of the QBWA workshops is to acquaint participants with the application process and the importance of the selection criteria that candidates need to demonstrate in applying for the award. Lectures are conducted in Arabic and English.

With such a large turnout for the first and second workshops, close to 200 women are expected to attend the QBWA lectures by the end of the third workshop. Places are still available for business and professional female nationals to apply for the QBWA workshop.
