Dubai unveils health strategy

The Dubai Health Authority has announced the emirate's new healthcare strategy. The raft of new initiatives unveiled today at a public meeting presided over by Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, the Authority's Director General, included a new scheme for universal healthcare. Employers or sponsors will have to pay for cover for all dependents. The exact figure is unknown but will range between Dh500 and Dh800 per person per year.
