A Dubai court has found a medical centre and its plastic surgeon liable for a botched liposuction which left an Arab woman with a permanent disfigurement in her abdomen, reported Gulf News. The court ordered the Dubai-based centre and its British doctor to pay the woman Dhs60,000 ($16,348) in civil compensation for the 'moral, emotional, medical and financial damages' she incurred. The woman's advocate in the case said the plaintiff was seeking Dhs500,000 in compensation and plans to appeal.
