This new e-system allows travelers to pass by one check point at Hatta border instead of two which will facilitate and expedite the passport control procedure in an efficient and secure way and most importantly it will reduce the waiting time for passengers either going to Oman from UAE or vice versa.

From DNRD, the workshop was attended by Brigadier Obaid Bin Suroor, Deputy Director of DNRD, Lt Colonel Khaled Al Razouki, Assistant Director for Information and Technology, Major Omar Al Shamsi, Head of Airport Passport Control Department Terminal 2, and First Lieutenant Khaled Ismail, Head of Technical Resources Department.

According to Brigadier Bin Suroor: 'DNRD plays a vital and strategic role in sustaining security and safety in the country, we are adopting the latest international technological advancements in the field of security and inspection that are applied at entry points.

This new e-system has been devised to facilitate the entry and exit procedures to and from Dubai at Hatta border and offer our customers a value-added service.'
