Fitch: GCC outlook conferences in Bahrain/Dubai on 17 & 19 June

Fitch Ratings will host conferences examining the outlook for GCC countries in Bahrain and Dubai in June.

Article continues below

The half-day conferences will review the sovereign outlook for the region, discussing inflationary pressures, the prospects of monetary union and the lack of 'AAA' GCC sovereign ratings.

The sessions will go on to evaluate the environment for GCC banks, the prospects for infrastructure finance and the outlook for the EMEA industrial sector.

Each conference will close with an expert industry panel session chaired by Stephen de Stadler, Fitch's Head of Business Development for the Middle East.

The panel will discuss whether structured finance and the Shari'a law can be mutually exclusive.
