Succeeding over the other highly qualified contenders shortlisted by an A-grade panel of judges, Septech won the award based on their innovative solution to provide both fresh and salt water MEP solutions to internationally renowned mega water theme park project Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah, the Els Club at Victory Heights and Festival Marina, Dubai Festival City.

Iwan Baxter Hughes, Septech's Group Projects Director picked up the award on behalf of the 12 year old specialist company that provides an innovative range of products and services across water and wastewater, mobile water services, precast concrete, marina, and the landscape and environment sectors.

"Septech was awarded Atlantis' supply, installation and commissioning of the salt water Life Support Systems including quarantine and acclimatisation tanks, implemented to reduce the overall stress experienced by aquatic life and to keep the 65,000 marine exhibits within Atlantis' gigantic Ambassador Lagoon alive," said David Heffernan, CEO of Septech.

"This was an innovative solution custom-designed by Septech for Atlantis and is one of the largest water theme park or aquarium desalination facilities in the northern hemisphere. The Atlantis MEP solution will process 880 million litres of water per day in order to keep the theme park's exotic marine exhibits alive.

"The award is recognition of our many years of providing creative MEP and end-to-end project solutions for some of the most challenging engineering projects in the MENA region."

Septech also designed and installed the Ernie Els, The Dunes golf course processing 900,000 US gallons of water per day in winter and 2 million gallons per day in summer.

This enabled the course to reduce overall operational costs and reduce the negative impact on environment.

The company's marine division has also provided several MEP solutions to projects like Festival Marina, Dubai Festival City; Shangri-la's Barr Al Jissah 100-berth marina for superyachts in Oman and the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace in Muscat, Oman.
