- PRESS RELEASE
Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) opened a new Branch at Sharjah University in University City during the opening ceremony of the new Female Students' Center yesterday.
The opening of the new branch came after the directive of SIB's management council to strategically expand the bank's branches and to provide better services to all of the bank's customers.
"Sharjah Islamic Bank gives particular attention to University City in Sharjah, as it is a distinct national and educational monument," said Sharjah Islamic Bank Chief Executive Officer, Mohammad Abdullah.
Mr. Abdullah added that, "In adhering to this interest, the two new branches in Sharjah University will join the Sharjah American University branch in University City, and through the new branches the bank will provide all banking services including account set-ups, checking accounts, savings and deposits accounts, investment services, financial services, leases, and more."
Mr. Abdullah also noted that Sharjah's University City is witnessing a distinct educational and cultural integration, requiring that the bank, through the expansion of its activities and banking services, meet students' growing demands in University City, as well as those of the administrative and teaching staff in University City.
