UAE private school fee hike approved

Private schools fees in the UAE may jump as much as 30% in the next academic year following a decree issued by the Ministry of Education, reported Khaleej Times. According to the decree, schools that applied for a fee increase last academic year (2007-2008) will be able to increase their fees next year up to 10%. Schools that haven't increased fees for two consecutive academic years can raise them up to 20%, and schools that have had no increase for three straight years can hike fees up to 30%.
