Qatar launches biomedical research program

A world-class biomedical research program, the first of its kind in the Middle East, has been launched by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. The program aims to form a bio-medical research infrastructure that will develop a scientific and technical workforce for the benefit of the region at large. To achieve its goal the program will bring together institutions that have overlapping missions in medical education, research and healthcare.
