KFH-Bahrain sponsors The National Conference on Gender Mainstreaming

Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) announced its participation as Golden sponsor of "The National Conference on Gender Mainstreaming", held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and organized by the Supreme Council for Women.

The conference was held during the period 9 - 10 June, 2008 at the Gulf International Conference Centre at Gulf Hotel, Bahrain.

The aim was to raise awareness and introduce the concept of Gender mainstreaming.

The conference also focused on the integration of the needs of women in the development process, and how to enhance the social programmes and plans of the government to accommodate such integration.

Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, General Manager of KFH-Bahrain said: "KFH-Bahrain is delighted to be partnering the National Conference on Gender Mainstreaming and fully support this important initiative. Increased female participation in economic development is one of the key elements for economic success. Collectively, KFH-Bahrain and the Supreme Council for Women, are committed to supporting the promotion of female entrepreneurship in this region."
