said Ray Kafity, Regional Sales Manager - Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, IronPort Systems. "We are honored to receive four such amazing honors and recognition from our leading industry publications and their readers."

The company received the prestigious SC Magazine Award for "best security appliance"; Information Security Magazine's coveted Readers' Choice award; and inclusion in Network World's Top 20 Most Useful IT Security Sites for its SenderBase network. Additionally, IronPort's C100 product had the best false-positive performance of any product in a recent InfoWorld review of mail security appliances.

IronPort was named the SC Magazine 2008 Readers' Trust Award gold winner in the Email Security Solution category. SC Magazine readers representing information technology's most knowledgeable security professionals, selected the IronPort's C-Series and X-Series appliances from a competitive field. The SC Magazine Awards highlight the best solutions, services and professionals while recognizing achievement and technical excellence in the information security industry. With more than 600 entries submitted in 30 categories, the 2008 SC Magazine Awards proved to be the most competitive in the program's 11-year history.

IronPort's superior ability to block spam, prevent phishing attacks and stop viruses caused its loyal fans and readers to honor it with the Readers' Choice Award in the email security appliance category. The more than 1,600 readers that voted agreed that IronPort's ease of use and seamless integration with other messaging systems warranted ranking the company's products among the top. Information Security and SearchSecurity.com readers voted on more than 360 products in security from hardware and software categories. The participants were judged on the operating capacity within voter environments, including criteria such as ease of use, value, vendor support and others.

IronPort's SenderBase was recognized by the NetworkWorld team for its wealth of security information, security alerts, in-depth reports, monthly security bulletin, technical guides and reports from Cisco IntelliShield.

In a recent review of mail security appliances by InfoWorld, the IronPort C100 had the best false-positive performance with no critical false positives. Additionally, InfoWorld said that the C100 combined excellent features, easy setup and high accuracy. The review was published on April 9, 2008.
