Birgit is a graduate of the Salzburger Tourismschool Klessheim, Austria and gained extensive experience at one of the largest Disney Resorts in Orlando, Florida and Disney Cruise Lines before commencing her career with Marriott International in June 2000.
Her first position with Marriott was at the Marriott Rewards department in London but she soon realized that her passion was with event management and in 2001 she joined the London Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel as Events Management Assistant.
She was promoted to Event Manager in 2002 and in September 2004 Birgit moved to the Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza, Florida to assist with the opening of this property.
She returned to London in March 2006 and took on the position as Director of Events Management at the London Marriott West India Quay Hotel and Executive Apartments.
Birgit and her husband relocated to Doha in early 2008 and she is very excited to take on the challenge of the E-commerce Marketing Manager at the Doha Marriott Hotel.
