Euromoney awards SHUAA Capital as "Best Equity House in the Middle East" and "Best Equity House in the UAE"

SHUAA Capital (ticker symbol: SHUA.DU), the leading financial services institution in the GCC, today announces that it has been awarded 'Best Equity House in the Middle East' and 'Best Equity House in the UAE', at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2008 held in Dubai.

SHUAA is the first ever institution to receive both these awards in the same year and has received the Euromoney Award for "Best Equity House in the UAE" in 2004, 2007 and again in 2008.

SHUAA has also played an active role in mergers and acquisitions in the period. Transactions include the sale of Emaar Industries & Investment's 40% stake in architectural facade specialists Multiforms LLC to Arabian Company for Water & Power Development for Dhs208m ($56.7m).

SHUAA's equities research, already one of the most comprehensive in the region, has increased its range and depth of coverage over the last year on a sector, geographic and macro economic basis.
