"As an Australian jewellery house with strong presence in the country, Paspaley is proud to be part of the Inaugural Australian Ball and take pride in awarding one of our unique creations of South Sea pearls. The Ball offered a unique opportunity of bringing together Australian entrepreneurs and their representatives in the UAE in a spirit of friendship and mutual benefit and Paspaley is happy to have played an active role in it,"
said Nicholas Paspaley, Managing Director of Paspaley.
Paspaley's journey as a pearling pioneer and jewellery house of international standing began more than 70 years ago when its late founder, Nicholas Paspaley Senior MBE, found a pearl of outstanding beauty on the northern coast of Australia in 1935. The sea bed in this region is home to the rare species of oyster which produces pearls of remarkable size and roundness and made of the finest nacre. They also have the most extraordinary lustre and flawless complexion with a unique intense orient radiating from within that is not found in any other pearl. Having witnessed the success of the Japanese in culturing Akoya pearls in Japan, Paspaley's founder dreamed of bringing the same technology to the South Sea by using the giant oysters to culture pearls of exquisite quality. Over the next century, through a process of trial and error his vision was eventually realized and the company emerged as the world's leading producer of South Sea pearls.
It is this unique partnership between Paspaley and nature that continues to be nurtured and has seen it present the world some of its finest pearls and superb jewellery collections showcasing their bewitching essence to flattering lengths. Its well known collections include, Paradise, a signature line evoking the spell of summer and designed around a delicate floral motif that offers exquisite drop earrings, pendant chains, necklaces, rings and bracelets. Other popular collections include Stellar, Eden, Harmony, Dolce and Palais among several others.
