In line with the Kingdom's intensive efforts to implement electronic enablement for all key services, Netgear has underlined the value of involving its solutions, products and technologies in the development of the nationwide project. In addition to facilitating a more dynamic infrastructure that is more accessible to the general public, the adoption of Netgear equipment will also result in lower administrative costs, thereby enabling the government to divert excess funds to support other initiatives.
"Bahrain's rapid economic growth has made it imperative for the government to provide fast and reachable assistance to individual and corporate citizens through the establishment of eGovernment services," said Ahmad Zeidan, Channel Sales Manager, Netgear Middle East.
"Our participation at the 'Bahrain International eGovernment Forum' was part of our efforts to form strategic alliances with regional governments to deliver our range of solutions and services, which have been designed to accurately address the requirements of various government agencies in delivering speedy and accessible services."
In addition to its aims of eliminating the burden of time-consuming physical transactions with various governmental departments for local and foreign citizens, the forum also addressed key issues that governments face today including privacy, security, information management and client uptake. The event served as a platform for more effective communication among regional government leaders, which will ultimately result in identifying plans and strategies to enhance eGovernment in the region.
"We have seen tremendous interest for our offerings, such as the Smart Wireless Controller, Smart Switches, ReadyNAS solutions, and Patent-pending Expandable Protection technology from participants at the event, especially from several government agencies. The efficiency and reliability of these products in terms of providing enterprise-level backup solutions, integrated wireless mobility, security and converged services for both wired and wireless users holds massive potential in advancing eGovernemnt services in the region. Through our innovative technologies and market leadership, we have successfully aided several governments in the region to attain their eGovernment objectives," concluded Omar Lutfi Hussain, Corporate Account Manager, Netgear Middle East.
In addition to Bahrain, Netgear is also taking significant strides in leveraging the booming requirement for state-of-the-art technologies and solutions in Qatar, where it recently unveiled its innovative technology for eGovernment services during the 'Enhancing eGovernemnt Service Delivery in the New Generation' seminar in Doha. Further, the company has also achieved significant success in Bahrain as the preferred customer-driven provider of innovative networking solutions for small businesses and homes. Through its strong ties with over 50 ISPs worldwide, Netgear is well-equipped to deliver the best-of-breed technology and solutions that will add value to Bahrain's eGovernment initiatives.
