The conference was organized by the Jordanian Engineering Association in collaboration with Greater Amman Municipality and Mawared, the real estate developer.
During a press conference held on the sidelines of the conference, Tameer announced its new project, the highest tower in Jordan. Valued at $300m, the tower will be developed within Abdali Urban Regeneration Project.
During the opening session of the conference, the Engineering Association presented a plaque to Tameer. Dr. Abdallah Shabban, Managing Director Tameer Abu Dhabi, shed light on the company's experience in building towers well known for their artistic development. The session was presented in the presence of a group of architectural and international speakers and specialists in towers and high rise building.
During his presentation, Dr. Shabaan elaborated on Tameer's projects developed in the UAE such as the iconic 'Tameer Towers' at Shams Abu Dhabi on Al Reem Island, the 'Princess Tower' in Dubai Marina, one of the world's highest residential structures, the technologically ground-breaking 'Platinum Towers' at Business Bay, 'The Gate Towers', 'Silver Tower' and many more.
For his part, Eng. Mohammad Habib, General Manager of Tameer in Jordan said, 'Tameer has a rich record in constructing towers. This conference focuses on multiple angles that round up the concept of high buildings and the intricate planning, designs and systems that come into the formula'. He added that this conference is an opportunity for the real estate developer to discuss and exchange views on reality and the challenges facing the sector, while discussing the rising market needs.
The number of participants in this conference, which lasted for three days, reached 560 participants who represented 11 countries. 30 papers were delivered from 13 Arabic and foreign countries, in addition to two other papers from Greater Amman Municipality and Mawared. Moreover, an exhibition for real estate companies in Jordan and abroad was held on the sidelines of the 4th Architectural Conference.
