The Arizona-based president and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace oversees the company's production of integrated avionics, engines, equipment, systems and services, for everything from small jets to government missiles; at more than 20 production or service sites in the U.S., United Kingdom and Europe.
The Aerospace business division, which is one of five industries that Honeywell operates in, accounted for roughly a third - $12.2bn - of Honeywell's overall $34.6bn in sales last year.
The visit of Honeywell Aerospace's CEO to the airline demonstrates the significant position that Jazeera Airways holds as a key player and regional leader in the Middle East's aviation industry - after having broken a number of records since the airline's inauguration in 2006; and reinforces the airline's position as the new national carrier of Kuwait.
The airline currently operates a fleet of six Airbus A320s from hubs in Kuwait and Dubai to 27 non-stop destinations across the Middle East, Istanbul, Cyprus in Europe, Iran, North Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent.
The airline has a firm order for 34 additional aircraft to be delivered over the coming years, with the last aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2014.
