Al Abdool joined Sama Dubai as Assistant Manager - Projects in 2005. Earlier, he worked at the Dubai Police General Headquarters for five years.
As Head of Engineering and Projects, he was responsible for the systematic and meticulous execution of direct activities related to the construction and development of structures, facilities and systems.
Al Abdool holds a Bachelor's in Architecture from the UAE University, and a Master's in Construction Management from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK through a scholarship from the 'Idaad' programme, offered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
He also has a Real Estate Management Diploma from the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI).
Al Abdool said:
'The trust that the Sama Dubai management has placed on me brings with it the challenging responsibility that the Creekfront project demands. Along with my team, I will ensure the satisfactory delivery of the company's targets and achieve the fruition of our objective to shape a cultural initiative where the future is proud of its past.'
The 'Creekfront' development will feature low rise buildings in an adaptive use of traditional architecture, creating an ambience evocative of Dubai in the past.
The mixed-use development comprises five star boutique hotels, exclusive waterfront residential vicinities, world class marinas, traditional retail outlets, culture and heritage museums, boutique offices, public plazas, and creek front walks.
The major revitalization initiative involves the integration of the Creek's five key adjacent historic districts - Al Shindagha, Al Seef, Old Souk Walk, Baniyas, and Deira Old Souk (previously known as Bander Taleb), linking them through three key principles of preserving heritage, promoting creativity and fostering diversity.
