ENOC names Zaid Alqufaidi as new Chief Executive Officer for EPPCO

In his new role, Alqufaidi will spearhead an aggressive business plan that will bring additional focus on the retail business.

As part of his long-term vision for the company, Alqufaidi will be streamlining the existing retail network, transforming the business into a single ENOC brand and exploring new markets to compliment the existing ENOC presence in the international market.

Commenting on his new position, Alqufaidi said:

"As the local demand for refined products increases and the fuel retailing business becomes more sophisticated, it is crucial to drive the business in a new direction and retain our leadership position. I foresee that my new role is going to be dynamic and challenging and I look forward to embarking on this new journey in my career."

An engineering graduate from the University of Central Florida, Alqufaidi has enjoyed a diverse career at ENOC since joining the Group in 1988.

From the position of Engineer in the EPPCO Operations Department, he was later promoted to Operations Coordinator, where he played a major role in the EPPCO boom during the construction of the retail network.

Over the years, Alqufaidi's career has gone from strength-to-strength and he has made rapid progress within the Group.

Before assuming his current position, Alqufaidi was assigned to the role of Deputy Operating Officer for the EPPCO Group of Companies.
