Dubai Knowledge Village launches Corporate Research Centre

Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV), a member of TECOM Business Parks, today announced the formal launch of DKV Corporate Research Centre, a pioneering initiative that offers economic and market data for the benefit of UAE-based businesses.

Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director of Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, made the announcement during a meeting of the DKV Breakfast Club. The regular networking event organised by Dubai Knowledge Village provides a suitable platform for key managers and human development executives of leading companies to network, exchange ideas and share best industry practices.

Dr. Kazim said:

"The DKV Corporate Research Centre will conduct benchmarking exercises on various UAE-based industries to assess the country's global ranking in terms of offerings and economic performance. The centre will also carry out key research projects in alliance with our business partners."

In the run up to its launch, the DKV Corporate Research Centre partnered with 'The Core Group', one of the region's top leadership and employee motivation consultancies to conduct a study on employee satisfaction in the UAE. The key findings of the report helped the senior management of the region's corporate sector to take effective measures for tackling some of the challenges thrown up by the rapid economic expansion that have impacted the region's workforce.

Hasan Makansi, Head of Partner Development for DKV and DIAC, said: "As a vital group of business leaders in the UAE, the DKV Breakfast Club aims to promote best practices in diverse industries. Held at the Godolphin Ballroom of the Emirates Towers, this year's second edition of the Breakfast Club featured Sanjive Khosla, Chief Strategy and Excellence Officer for TECOM Investments, as one of the guest speakers. Khosla presented a case study of TECOM Investments, focusing on the flexible strategy development processes undertaken by the organization in the midst of the developments taking place in Dubai and the UAE.

Speakers at the event included David G. Reay, Managing Director at Gibson Consulting, a business strategy consultancy that provides state-of-the-art training and development design to over 65 multinational organizations, and Tony Riachi, CEO of Ritcom, a US-based boutique consulting firm totally dedicated to providing process improvement consulting and training services to companies worldwide.
