The MOU was signed by Mona Al-Marri, Chairperson of the Board of Dubai Women Establishment, and Adel Al Shared, Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development.

DWE will help identify high-caliber participants from across the UAE, while the Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development will design the program in accordance with DWE's objectives.

Mona Al-Marri said: 'Reflecting the wise vision of our leadership, the UAE hosts several national organizations that seek to work towards enhancing the capabilities of our youth, for building a productive society.

'This program is an outcome of DWE's concerted effort to provide highly specialized programs that will help UAE women grow as full-fledged social and business leaders, while motivating an increasing number of women to assume responsibility as key partners and contributors to the social and economic progress of the country.'

As a first step, the program will take off with a four-week program that will help unleash women's latent potential and provide them with the confidence required to tackle career challenges.

Al-Marri added: 'The programme will focus on core areas of enhancing leadership competencies of the participants at the personal and organizational level, while augmenting their management skills and technical knowledge.'

Adel Al Shared said: 'The partnership aims to identify optimum resources to build an appropriate knowledge-base for our future leaders and support them in their aspirations to ensure the sustainable development of Dubai and the UAE.

'In this mutual endeavour, we look forward to leveraging the rich experiences gained from our partnership with prominent academic and training institutions, while adopting global best practices to ensure that future leaders are adequately equipped with the competency to effectively carry out their respective mandates.'

The Dubai Women Establishment has initiated several programs for the benefit of UAE women with the active participation of various private and public sector organizations.

It pursues a holistic objective to ensure Emirati women play a key role not only on the local arena but also throughout the Gulf region.
