The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) is offering shoppers a unique chance to win daily prizes of Dhs 10,000 and nine weekly bumper prizes of Dhs 50,000 in gold and jewellery vouchers during this year's Dubai Summer Surprises, which runs from the 19th of June to the 22nd of August.

Over 300 jewellery outlets across Dubai are offering the chance to win attractive prizes. These include stand-alone shops as well as those in major shopping malls including Gold Land, Gold House and Gold Centre. Gold Souq and Meena Bazaar, which have a high concentration of jewellery shops, will sport a festive mood.

The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, a sponsor of DSS for the sixth year and a key sponsor this year, has contributed to keeping Dubai's jewellery retail sector busy and vibrant during the summer months through its support to DSS, in addition to its ongoing efforts to promote Dubai's reputation as the 'City of Gold' among tourists and visitors.

Tawfique Abdullah, Chairman, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group said: "We are excited to be part of Dubai Summer Surprises once again and we expect this year's festival with its numerous attractions to bring in more tourists to Dubai. Our campaign will add a shine to the Dubai Summer Surprises and drive demand for the jewellery trade."

The Group, which represents over 700 members of Dubai's jewellery trade, is known for its gold and jewellery raffles that play a major role in the success of Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises by offering all shoppers spectacular opportunities to win kilos of gold in prizes.

"Every year the promotions of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group get more exciting and they characterise the shop-and-win concept of DSF as well as DSS. Our growing partnership with the Group also represents a strong link in Dubai's efforts to promote itself as a destination of varied attractions," commented Laila Suhail, CEO of DSF & DSS.

Swapna Nair, General Manager, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group added: "Increasing number of people are now opting to stay in Dubai during summer, as the city is constantly adding to its shopping and entertainment activities. Our unique offerings combine all the exciting elements of Dubai's booming tourism and retail."
