The new website will provide vital information regarding HBMPSLD and expound on various issues being tackled by the program.

It will also serve as a key contact point for prospective candidates of the program, where they can get the latest developments and new initiatives implemented by HBMPSLD.

Initiated by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Sports Leadership Development aims to develop future national leaders through a training program that integrates sports values and ethics.

The new online portal, for its part, is in line with the HBMPSLD's aim of utilising a modern approach in developing a new breed of sports leaders.

"The website will help us reach out to more people, particularly prospective candidates of the program, making it an invaluable tool in our public awareness campaigns. Moreover, it will provide us a much more flexible platform to present the objectives and the underlying reasons behind the creation of HBMPSLD,"

said Eng. Mattar Al Tayer, Vice President of Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Executive Office of Dubai Sports Council.

"The launch of the new website will help us highlight the modern approach that we have outlined for the program, and hopefully generate greater interest among future leaders, particularly sports-oriented individuals across the emirate," said Adel Al Shared, Director of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Sports Leadership Development.

Dr. Ahmed Alshareef, General Secretariat of Dubai Sports Council commented: "Dubai has embraced practically all kinds of sports through various international and regional competitions being staged in the emirate, which demonstrates Dubai's strong interest to become a premier global sports hub. The creation of an online portal dedicated to our efforts in developing future sports leaders will definitely further enhance Dubai's role in the development of sports in the region and around the world."

HBMPSLD has been the brainchild of Dubai Sports Council, which has been at the forefront of revolutionising the sports scene in Dubai since its inception in 2005.

Dubai Sports Council primarily seeks to strengthen sports regulations and develop the administrative and financial capabilities of sports leaders from both the club level and in larger sporting organisations across Dubai and the UAE.

The key objectives of the HBMPSLD include ensuring a long-term systematised leadership development in sports; initiating changes for a progressive and productive sport society under the 'Change Agents Program'; convening an elite group of sports leaders to help participants in the program benefit from their experiences; sharing insights about individual leadership styles and values; and helping Dubai Government to successfully implement the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.
