- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, June 19 - 2008 at 13:29
Falcon Trade Corporation is taking its expansion to the next level with the appointment of two new Country Managers based in Sao Paulo and Istanbul
Daniel has previous experience as Head of Origination and Finance on the financial desk at Sertrading, a Brazilian Trading Company. He also has extensive experience in commodities trading.
Daniel holds a BSc in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, Sao Paulo.
And his knowledge of Spanish - as well as Portuguese and English - will benefit the expansion of Falcon's presence in the other South American countries.
"This is a new role for a company seeking to expand into Latin America after its successes in the Middle East and Asia," says Daniel. "This makes it an extremely exciting job, with enormous room for growth."
Gamze Sarioglu joined Falcon Trade Corporation on the 1st June - tasked with taking the Falcon brand and model into the Turkish market.
Gamze was previously Trade Finance Manager at Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi, a Turkish bank. She also gained significant project finance and forfaiting experience at West LB. Gamze has a BA in Business Administration from Ankara University.
"Turkey is an obvious market for Falcon," says Gamze. "It has a strong import/export sector that will in our view benefit from imaginative trade services and innovative solutions. It also has strong trading connections to the EU and other developed markets that can provide strong cash flow enhancement potential for companies, as well as markets such as the Middle East and CEE where structuring is appropriate. It is a fantastic opportunity."
CEO Will Nagle commented: "The appointments take Falcon's 12-month tally of country managers for new markets to four - Malaysia and Indonesia being the previous expansions. Adding to Falcon's already established base in the Middle East, these moves are firmly placing Falcon on the map as the leading independent trade services provider."
