The workshop held at the Courtyard Marriott in Dubai was led by Khalid Kalban, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Investments.

The workshop is the latest in a series of structured initiatives undertaken by Dubai Investments to enhance competency levels of UAE Nationals employed within the group's portfolio of subsidiaries and to guide and motivate them to make a significant contribution towards the development of the UAE.

During the workshop, Mr. Kalban urged participants to assume higher responsibilities and step up their level of professional involvement. He also gave a presentation on the remarkable progress made by Dubai Investments in recent years along with an overview of the company's future plans and strategies.

Commenting on the workshop, Kalban said:

"Providing suitable employment opportunities to UAE Nationals has remained a core philosophy of Dubai Investments since its inception, and the significant local representation in the workforce of our group companies bears ample testimony to our commitment to Emiratization. Organizing frequent training and mentoring programs is equally important, as such initiatives provide National employees an opportunity to hone their skills and get up to speed with the latest industry trends and developments."

"The UAE job market has, due to a combination of factors, been predominantly reliant on the expatriate workforce and local representation in the private sector has traditionally remained marginal. Against such a backdrop, private companies have a responsibility to make conscious efforts to support governmental initiatives to rectify this imbalance and develop a local talent pool of highly skilled professionals," Kalban added. "Dubai Investments will continue to remain at the forefront of the Emiratization drive by creating employment and training opportunities for qualified UAE Nationals."
