Aiming to tap into the niche yet lucrative luxury travel market in the Asia Pacific region, 23 delegates from Dubai joined the DTCM stand at ALTM 2008, to meet Asia's leading figures and suppliers in the luxury travel sector and introduce the latest offerings from Dubai.
Following the resounding success of DTCM's participation at the inaugural ALTM last year, DTCM participated in the exclusive marketplace for the second time.
DTCM is one of the few government promotional bodies from the Middle East participating in the event. The show is appointment based and more than 400 esteemed buyers from Asia Pacific were invited to attend the three-day event.
According to DTCM Far East, the response from the Dubai co-participants was overwhelming and this has once again proved the unprecedented potential DTCM partners are seeing in Asia.
With numerous new developments in the pipeline, destination Dubai will surely draw increasing numbers of sophisticated and discerning travelers from Asia.
The DTCM was represented by Saleh Al Geziry, Director Overseas Promotions who said the enthusiasm and increasing number of Co-participants in the event was encouraging.
The DTCM delegation also included Naif Ibrahim, Senior Executive of Overseas Promotions, Jassin Ahli and Valid Al Bashri from Naturalization and Residency Administration, Dubai.
