Noortech introduces a new technology in Saudi Arabia

The biometric technology will be supported by "Time & Space" which is a specialized Access Control & Time & Attendance application which the company provides.

Time & Space is developed by Spica International a leading identification solutions provider and a long time partner of Noortech. Spica International has interfaced Time & Space with the 3D face recognition device made by Bioscrypt, a leading Biometrics manufacturer is the first to offer this technology that proves to be reliable and accurate.

Multimodel sampling technology and intelligent algorithms make it virtually impossible to cheat the sensor while assuring outstanding performance - insensitive to capturing angle, exposure, haircut, glasses, beard or arabic head covers like shimaghs or abayas. The reader also works in light and in the dark as well.

Later this year Noortech is also planning to introduce a new module of Time & Space that utilizes mobile phones as tokens instead of cards which shall offer new possibilities of time registration using mobile phones. Several new phones by Nokia, Samsung and others in the market are now supporting NFC technology, which enables the mobile phone to send a signal similar to that of a proximity card). So for Accesss control or Time & Attendance applications, the readers will read the NFC enabled mobile phones in addition to the classic proximity cards. Passing through doors and registering time becomes a seamless operation in everyday life, by simply using NFC supported mobile phone.

Noortech already provides a Time & Attendance Solution that incorporating a GSM network Event Collector, where different events are assigned do specified phone numbers. Users register their events by simply calling a predefined phone number, which registers the call time and enters the predefined event in the database. After the call is hang-up, the user receives an SMS answer with confirmation of successful registration (name and time of event). Registration of events can also be performed over SMS. In this case, user sends SMS message to the predefined T&S phone number, containing the three-letter code of the event (e.g. ARR for arrival). Upon receiving the message, the system registers the event and an SMS confirmation is sent back to the user.
