With the new development, more than 58 million Card members will be able to shop at Carrefour and pay using their JCB Cards. The alliance with Network International makes this possible as it offers comprehensive card management solutions through its state-of-the-art card payments system infrastructure. Network International concluded its acquiring agreement with JCB International in December 2006.
"JCB delivers an incredible value to customers the world over and our association with them is a natural step in our strategy to offer our patrons a rewarding shopping experience," said Henri Changeux, Senior Vice-President for Carrefour (UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar). "Our customers now have a wider range of payment options, bringing them optimum convenience."
