In preparation for this occasion, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) teamed up with the Grand Hyatt Dubai this week to bring a taste of Singapore to Dubai with award-winning Singaporean Chef Ng Kwok Yin.
Ng was a Guest Chef at the Grand Hyatt's Peppercrab restaurant June 20th - 27th, preparing some of the famous dishes he serves at the acclaimed Palm Beach Seafood restaurant in Singapore where he is currently Executive Chef.
Set against a backdrop of modern interiors, the Peppercrab's spacious open kitchen concept created a lively atmosphere for guests as they watched the top Chef prepare authentic Singaporean dishes.
"The Singapore Food Festival is an ideal time for tourists from the region to come share in our nationwide passion for food and experience the tantalizing cuisine that Singapore is renowned for,"
said Jason Ong, Area Director, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board.
A unique programme of activities and events are lined up for the summer extravaganza, which will take visitors on a culinary journey of the city-state's rich blend of Malay, Indian and Chinese-influenced cuisine.
Culinary workshops and cooking classes will also be available at various venues across Singapore during the festival, giving aspiring chefs a chance to create some of their favorite Singaporean dishes.
