Tanmia is conducting the training program in cooperation with Sharjah's Skyline University College, in the college premises. Twenty UAE National jobseekers have so far registered for the training program that will last approximately 12 weeks.

UAE National jobseekers who are keen on working in the tourism industry, especially as tour guides, are invited to the training program where they would be provided with a comprehensive overview of the requisite skills for the tourism sector.

Representatives from Tanmia and Skyline University College will also explain the structure and components of the training program, following which the jobseekers will need to take an aptitude test to determine the level of training required.

Feddah Lootah, Acting General Manager, Tanmia, said, 'This training program has been designed to be comprehensive, equipping participants with the required skills to efficiently handle tasks in the travel and tourism sectors. From our experience, we have learnt that UAE National jobseekers possess the right aptitude to excel in the tourism industry, especially if they are given adequate training. We thank Skyline University College for their assistance in conducting the training program and look forward to cooperating with them for similar initiatives in future.'

The tourism sector-focused training program closely follows the Open Day organised by Tanmia in Dubai recently, which highlighted the numerous career opportunities available to Nationals in this industry.

Skyline University College was one of the participants of the Open Day, which was also attended by senior officials from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, and Sharjah Commerce Tourism and Development Authority, in addition to representatives from various travel and tourism agencies.
