Participants came from various Middle East and Africa LG operations and media agencies to participate in the workshop.
"The online forum has been growing tremendously over the past few years where internet users have increased from 2.4 million in the year 2000 to 28 million this year which is a significant growth and is well worth harvesting,"
said Mr. K. W. Kim, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company.
"Almost 77% of Internet users are aged between 15 and 34 which constitute a huge portion of our target. LG is keen to explore the potential of such a medium by adding it to its communications mix," he added.
The interactive workshop saw several industry experts sharing their insights and experiences with the participants. Speakers included professionals such as Duri Al Ajrami, Media Director of MindShare Interaction; Ziad Khammar, General Manager of AME Info; Hussein Freijeh, Advertising Sales Director at Maktoob.com; Dr. Irfan Ahmed, Director of Dot Com Arabia and Yahoo! Middle East, and Mohammad Jaradat, General Manager of Arab Internet Standards Organisation.
Topics discussed at the one-day forum were digital media marketing trends, product e-marketing success stories, with industry experts presenting their experience with case studies.
LG Electronics continuously holds training sessions for its personnel to further enhance their skills in all aspects of the industry.
