All the emirate's five-star hotels, and two four-star hotels - in Liwa and Mirfa - are backing the campaign which is also aimed at supporting the 'Summer In Abu Dhabi' family festival running at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until August 18.

'These special hotel rates are yet another compelling reason for people to attend Summer in Abu Dhabi,' said Faisal Al Sheikh, ADTA Head of Events Section.

'Visitors to Abu Dhabi can now join guided tours of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan mosque, visit the Picasso exhibition at the Emirates Palace and take the kids for a festival of fun at ADNEC before moving on to relax in the oasis coolness of Al Ain. There truly is a great deal to do in Abu Dhabi this summer.'

The eight-week 'Summer In Abu Dhabi' festival, a joint ADTA/ADNEC initiative, features seven uniquely-themed islands - Discovery, Imagination, Adventure, Fun, Creativity, Action as well as Heritage and Culture - all with dozens of fun and educational attractions to thrill and entice youngsters. Each island provides a different set of attractions with a different flavour and theme.

Other attractions are the 'Arts & Crafts' corner featuring painting, jewellery making and pot painting, and the 'Dance Heads' section, where children have an opportunity to captivate audiences with their dance performances.

Summer in Abu Dhabi runs at ADNEC from June 26th - August 18th. Tickets can be purchased at the door and visitors are advised to park at Sheikh Zayed Sports City, where ADNEC will provide a constant free shuttle bus service.
