This summer save up to 50% on incoming calls while roaming abroad with du

du, the integrated telecom service provider in the UAE, has announced a special summer offer which allows subscribers' savings of up to 50% when receiving calls on their du line while travelling outside the UAE.

The offer is available to du Monthly Plan subscribers up till 25 September 2008.

The 50% discount applies only to the regular International Call Rate from the UAE to the country the customer is roaming in during this period, with no change in the outgoing call rate.

'Summer is the travel season for both business customers and consumers and we have specifically launched this scheme keeping that in mind. We understand that customers need to stay in touch with business, family and friends while travelling and with our offer, keeping in touch is not just simple but also affordable.'



du has signed over 550 international roaming agreements with world-class operators in a record span of 18 months from service launch.

Roaming service is active for all UAE nationals by default. Customers can activate roaming on a du line by visiting any of the 17 du shops across the UAE to sign up for the service.

About du:
du, the integrated telecom service provider in the UAE, launched mobile telecommunication services on 11 February 2007 across the UAE in addition to internet and pay TV services in some of the free zones of Dubai. Call Select, the first of du's nationwide Fixed line services for voice telephony, was launched in July 2007.

Among du's many firsts is its historic Number Booking Campaign for both individuals and business, Pay by the Second billing system, Mobile TV, Mobile Payments, first of its kind 'WoW' recharge card (which offers customers the choice between more credit and more time) and Self Care. du business offers include Closed Business User Group and preferred International Destinations.

du was recognised as the 'Best Brand' for its innovative branding and outstanding success at the Telecom World Awards Middle East 2007.
