Schroth a first-timer to the Middle East brings with him a wealth of hospitality expertise thanks to his executive leadership throughout Europe and Asia.

Before joining Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, Schroth was the General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Airport in Munich, where he spent three years managing one of the busiest Kempinski hotels in Europe. Prior to that, he was Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona's top executive from 2000 to 2005.

'Holger Schroth's long association with the Kempinski brand and its tradition, along with his extensive experience in the hospitality industry made him the most suitable executive for the top post at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. Under his leadership, we trust to continue the impressive results achieved under the watch of his predecessor, Michael Henssler, who leaves us with our best wishes to join Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva,' said Mr. Ulrich Eckhardt, President Middle East and Africa, Kempinski Hotels.

Schroth's hospitality experience spans the globe, with stints in Germany, France, and Spain through to China. He commenced his career in 1983, and has since become highly respected in the industry.

Earning several professional development diplomas from Cornell University in New York, that is considered one of the top educational institutions for hospitality management. Schroth pursued further studies and graduated with an MBA from Reims Management School in France.

Of his appointment, Schroth said: 'I have been in the industry for over two decades now and with this new appointment, it feels like I'm just starting over and breathing new life into my career. Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is at the heart of a thriving tourism hotspot within the exciting city of Dubai, and holds such promise for future growth. I see it as a great challenge and opportunity to lead the hotel and further establish its position as one of the preferred luxurious leisure destinations in this part of the world.'
