A leader in its segment, the expansion to Dubai for DVS is backed by the unprecedented growth, the retail industry in this region is experiencing. According to the Global Emerging Markets Survey of 300 retailers worldwide, the UAE ranks number eight among the Top 15 most international retail markets. The survey said 41% of international retailers have a presence in the country and more growth is expected. The potential of this market is further emphasized upon by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) that has described retail trading in the city as becoming 'elite'.

The retail and hospitality industries possess huge potential for new technologies and solutions and in order to meet these increasing demands, there is a demand for international strengths of technology and experience. DVS owns this technological experience which only instigated us to expand our footprint in Middle East. Dubai, as a favorite tourist destination has seen a greater influx of tourists. The hospitality industry has much to offer and DVS saw this opportunity as a stepping stone for venturing into international markets.
The Tourist Industry in Dubai is setting and breaking all international records, with over 400 hotels being built, over 20 Million square feet of shopping malls, 15 million visitors by 2012 and the enormous Dubai Land theme and recreation parks being planned.
Commenting on the partnership provided to DVS in its international venture, Mr. Tamer Elhamy, Business Solutions Manager, Microsoft Gulf said,

Commenting on the expansion, Rakhee added, 'For DVS, the areas of investment in Dubai fall under, acquiring product knowledge, understanding the requirements of Dubai's retail and hospitality industry, recruitment of partners and education to the vast market, So far we have plans to invest over $2m in the first year and will ramp up operations in due course.' Having partnered clients in multiple industries that include large, mid-sized and small enterprises, DVS is poised for further growth. A new arena of investment for the company is Research and Development and training of manpower to address the industry issues of the growing sectors like retail and hospitality.
In 2007, DVS increased its customer base by over 100% in 2007 and penetrated into new verticals like real estate, health care and entertainment. In 2008, the company aims to consolidate its position in emerging verticals with grave focus on increasing depth in functionality. The team at DVS expects to take the company to greater heights by strengthening regional presence with opening of new offices and also by enhancing the partner and re-seller network across the country for enhanced market presence and customer outreach.
