Hatta Check-Point to be revamped

Representatives of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) and Dubai Customs met to discuss the implementation of increased border checks.

In order to ascertain the process of refurbishment of Hatta check point on the borders of UAE/ Sultanate of Oman, a delegation from Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) and Dubai Customs met to assess the final requirements which include introducing cabins for passport checkers and finalizing the special lanes for trucks and implementing the necessary power set up.

Brigadier Obaid Mehayer Bin Suroor, DNRD's Deputy Director, has received a delegation from Dubai customs headed by Ahmed Mahboob, executive director for customers' relations department, along with officials from both departments.

As per Brigadier Bin Suroor, "DNRD is currently reviewing the final bids for this project and will reveal soon the name of the company that will be handling this project and the timeline for execution in terms of technical and human resources."

Brigadier Suroor honored 30 employees from the preventive security forces for their prompt response and efforts to maintain security and stability in the country.
