Dubai-based DP World and Israel's Zim Integrated Shipping Services have won European Union antitrust approval to acquire Spain's Tarragona terminal, reported Bloomberg. DP World said on June 17 it had bought a 60% stake in Contarsa Sociedad de Estiba, which runs the terminal. Zim, a unit of Israel Corp, bought a 40% stake in the Spanish company. The European Commission, the 27-nation European Union's antitrust regulator, said it approved the deal in a statement today from Brussels.
