Leading regional investment bank EFG-Hermes has announced the appointment of Eiji Aono as the Firm's new Head of Research.
"We are delighted to announce Eiji's appointment and are keen to tap into his knowledge and experience to maintain our position as the leading provider of equity and economic research on Middle East and North African (MENA) markets. Eiji's many years of experience in research development makes him the perfect choice as we continue to expand our reach. He will also be well-positioned to help highlight the importance of independent research within the industry," said Hassan Heikal, CEO of EFG-Hermes.
"EFG-Hermes is recognized as the premier provider of quality analysis on MENA markets and I am thrilled to be joining such a well recognized team" said Aono. "My aim is to work with the experienced team of equity and economic analysts to continue to provide high quality, in-depth and relevant research to our clients, which is especially important given the increased focus on the MENA region by investors worldwide."
EFG-Hermes was ranked the top equity research house in Euromoney's inaugural Middle East Equity Research poll in 2007, topping 8 out of 13 sector categories.
