Dubai's diamond trade up 53% in 2007

Dubai's diamond trade achieved record growth in 2007, increasing by 53% to reach $11.23bn, according to the Dubai Diamond Exchange. The Emirate's rough diamond trade saw a 29% increase from 2006 to reach $4.82bn, with trade in polished diamonds rising a massive 88% to hit $6.41bn.
