In what can only be described as a nail biting finish to an exciting match, the Sultanate of Oman ended the World Cup qualification campaign on a winning note.
A second half double from ace striker Imad al Hosni ensured Oman's win. With both sides having nothing to play for but pride, Thailand threw caution to the wind and took a surprising lead in just the third minute when Thailand's Tawan Sripan converted a penalty. But Oman's leading striker Imad scored in the 58th and 85th minute to ensure Oman won the nail biting match.
