DNRD embarks on energy-saving campaign

In collaboration with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) is organizing an awareness campaign entitled "Preserving Our Resources Is Our Duty" for its employees at the main administration in Jaffiliyia.

Thirty employees from different departments are taking part in the campaign that will last for one week.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Zakariya, Engineer, DEWA, said that the aim of this campaign is to raise awareness amongst the employees at DNRD and encourage them to reduce their usage and consumption of water and electricity.

He emphasized that preserving the environment and reducing the amount of water consumed requires high levels of commitment and focused social awareness campaigns and education.

Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of DNRD, said:

"Our employees are the most valuable asset we have and we are keen to train them on best practices professionally and keep them abreast with international standards. We also would like to instill a culture of responsibility for the department and the best interest of the society where we operate."


Employees are participating in a variety of lectures and competitions in addition to workshops in a fun-filled environment that target the employees' children as well.
