Business partners and end users representing the two different industries, including stakeholders from Jordan's utility, military, education and hospitality sectors attended the event, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel Amman, as 3M, in association with Jordanian-based partners Al Qandeel and Emitac shared its ideas for developing the Jordanian market.

The attendees also had the opportunity to view 3M's broad product portfolio of solutions for the two industries - including access, outside plant and premise solutions for telecommunications providers and low and medium voltage cable accessories in the electrical sector, while representatives from the Jordan-based Electrical and Telecommunications division outlined the company's unique capabilities for projects throughout the country.

"Jordan's economy is showing very positive signs of growth in both the Electrical and Telecommunications sector, and the country is emerging as one of the key markets driving economic growth around the Levant region,"

commented Ramzi Nassif 3M Country Business Leader, Electrical and Telecommunications Division.

"This is set against a backdrop of a phenomenal CAGR in the Middle East region in the telecoms sector - where the number of telecom subscribers has reached over 100 million - showing the unprecedented potential this sector has in the region in terms of future telecommunications capacity," he added.

Nassif went on to say that Jordan's electrical sector is also experiencing rapid growth, with demand for energy and electricity increasing by 4.3% per annum, leading to a growing demand for products and services to meet the country's needs.

"We have a broad portfolio of solutions that will aptly meet the needs of our consumers in this country and throughout the Middle East region, and in building our presence in such important markets like Jordan, we are in the best position to deliver our world-leading sector expertise to help the country facilitate- and capitalize on- its Electrical and Telecommunications growth," Nassif added.
