Xerox Emirates and Tony Buzan unlock the potential of the mind in the UAE

  • PRESS RELEASE

As part of its continued efforts to introduce to its stakeholders motivational initiatives that add value to their daily life, Xerox Emirates (XEM), the market leader in Technology, Document Management and Consulting Services, organized a series of seminars in Dubai that were headed by Tony Buzan, the inventor of the inspirational thinking concept, the MindMap.

"Xerox Emirates places considerable importance on the education sector in the UAE, and we believe strongly in the development of the human mind in order to innovate, explore and advance in today's fast paced and highly competitive world," said Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates. "At Xerox Emirates, we have successfully applied Buzan's Mindmapping techniques in our workplace."

According to Buzan, the MindMap technique can be applied to every aspect of life in order to improve learning and create clearer thinking to boost human performance. "Mindmapping centers on enhancing the power of color and imaging through empowering the association technique," he added.

Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) partnered with Xerox Emirates in this highly acclaimed educational initiative through introducing its educators and students to the MindMap applications.

"As an educator, I became a firm believer in the MindMap techniques and I am delighted that JESS staff and students came to realize the great potential of unlocking the potential of the brain through empowering color and imaging,"

said Robert Stokoe, Director, JESS.

On its part, Xerox Emirates has adopted the use of MindMap into some parts of the organization to help enhance work practices and achieve business goals in an efficient and creative manner.

"Since Xerox Emirates is synonymous with color, especially following the company's major rebranding campaign and as MindMap software and techniques are essentially focused on color, we are in essence allowing our customers to begin to think differently about the brand," noted Hurt. "In addition to promoting Buzan's MindMap techniques in the UAE's educational system, we also want to create an opportunity for our customers to explore these methods of creative thinking and learning in their business."

MindMap harnesses the full range of cortical skills - word, image, number, logic, rhythm and color - in a single and uniquely powerful manner, thus providing users with the freedom to roam the infinite expanses of the brain.
