The Department of Finance - Government of Dubai receives the delegations of the Sudanese & UAE Ministry of Finance

The Department of Finance - government of Dubai received the financial delegation of Sudan headed by H.E. Tarek Shalabi, the State-Minister in the Sudanese ministry of Finance and the delegation of the UAE Ministry of Finance headed by H. E. Khaled Youssif Merza, the Operation manager in UAE Ministry of Finance.

The two visiting delegations were received by H.E Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Department of Finance, and number of department managers in the Department of Finance - government of Dubai.

During their visit the two delegations were introduced to the applied financial systems certified by the Department of Finance - government of Dubai. Also, different topics were tackled among which introducing the services offered by the Department of Finance - government of Dubai, application of financial systems, and the positive results achieved by the Department.

About that fruitful meeting, H. E. Sami Al Qamzi, said:

"Receiving different delegations is a successful means of exchanging experience and learning more about new applied systems. I could safely say that the meeting was beneficial for all involved parties and surely it was a positive addition to our experience."


After the multi-parties meeting, the Department of Finance - government of Dubai was pleased to share its experience with the visiting delegations. Also the Department of Finance - government of Dubai showed its readiness to repeat such a productive experience with other governments out of its belief that these meetings enrich and broaden the perceptive of all involved parties. Meanwhile, the two delegations showed there gratitude for the Department of Finance - government of Dubai for its cooperation and sharing its experience and services it offers with them.

By law no (5), the Department of Finance - government of Dubai was first established on 1995 under the guidance of H.H Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Department of Finance - government of Dubai is to supervise all financial and accounting affairs according to the abovementioned law which also stipulates the cancellation of Central Accounting Department and refer all its competences to the Department of Finance - government of Dubai.

According to article (3), the Department of Finance - government of Dubai enjoys 9 jurisdictions, among them: To coordinate with local departments to prepare estimated general budget, follow up with the execution of the new budget, put a plan to provide liquidity, transfer of sanctioned amounts for each governmental department, preparation and development of tolls - dues and other resources in the best interest of the Department of Finance - government of Dubai. Furthermore, among the jurisdiction of the Department are: verify collection of taxes and provision of general revenue, and supervision on governmental banking accounts.
